Whirlpool Duet Washer F27 Error

Accidentally I put more HE detergent and the washer was full of bubbles and the SUD error code appeared. Was able to drain/spin and run the machine empty on hot settings to clean out. The water drains fine, there is no high water level during a cycle. Run a diagnostic, which move over numbers fine. Continues to have SUD on display. Read to clean with vinegar on Clean cycle. The cycle ended with F27, but the clean cycle always ends with some error code since we bough the machine 13 yr. ago. Will clean the trap, but we took it a part 3 yr. ago and there were no debris after 10 yr. of use, so not expecting to fine anything. Is it most likely the Pressure sensor, that it got wet and needs cleaning or replacing? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Let it dry out for 24 hours. Just leave it be and let it sit and dry out. If after that it still has issues replace the pressure sensor, It's linked below in case you have to order it.

Give it 24 hours to dry out and try again if you keep having issues replace the pressure sensor.

Hello, During a wash cycle my front loader showed error code F27. The washer seems to keep filling with water. Tried shutting off the washer by pressing the cancel button, the washer keep filling with water. Unplugged the washer and turned off both hot and cold water, even with water off seemed to continue to fill. Finally after pressing the cancel button a few more times the washer shut off. I was able to get the washer to drain and spin, turned on the hot and cold again. After it competed the spin cycle no more running water. Now the washer seems to be ok?? Only problem is this is the 2nd time today the washer showed error F 27. The washer is 10 years old not sure if it is an service fix or a DYI type of fix. Not sure if it's worth it to have it serviced, so expensive to have a repair person come out and due to the age of the washer, may decide to replace it unless it is a DYI repair.

That problem is easily repaired and you can do it yourself. You have a failing water-level pressure switch and it needs to be replaced for sure or the washer could flood your home. It's the part the tells the control to shut off the water when it's filling. The replacement switch for your model is linked below:

My washer worked fine until I moved to another house. It’s still not on the pedistal becaus we are elderly and cannot lift it. I first started getting error f20. If I cancelled and restarted after it drained it would complete the cycle. I even check the water hook up to make sure no hoses were kinked and water was turned all the water up I cleaned the wire filters on the water input with CLR then opened the drain hatch and cleaned it out. It worked ok for a while. Now I get at error f27 sad. Utube is not clear on fixing that one. Cannot afford t call repair. They charge $200 just to come out.

The F27 error on that model means the following:

If the overflow contact on the pressure switch is closed for more than 60 seconds, an Overflow Condition occurs. In an overflow condition, the door remains locked and the drain pump runs constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed twice and the display is cleared. Turn off hot and cold water faucets and unplug the unit before servicing.

Some the troubleshooting listed below you have already done but I will post it for you anyhow:

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.

2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.

3. Check wire harness connections to the drain pump, pressure switch, water inlet value, and Central Control Unit (CCU).

4. Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.

5. Check for drain pump failure.

6. Check the inlet valve for proper shut off. If the washer is filling and stopping when it should and does not still drip in the tub when powered off the inlet valve is fine.

7. Check the pressure switch for proper operation. If the washer is filling and stopping at the correct water levels the pressure switch is fine.

I would guess that since you were getting the F20 code at first and now this code, that the drain pump on the washer needs to be replaced. The drain pump for your model can be purchased from the link below:

The F27 Error On Whirlpool Washer Model AWO/D 6001 Means the main control is sensing that the motor is only able to turn one direction. Check the wiring between the control and motor, if the wiring is ok replace the main control board.
