Whirlpool Washer F6E3 Error

Troubleshooting and Repair - F6E3 Error Code - WFW75HEFW

The Whirlpool washer F6E3 error code is a communication error from the ACU ( main control board) to the UI ( User interface ).

This error is most times caused by faulty wiring or loose connectors at one the boards. It can also be caused by either board having failed. Check the wiring and connections between the two and if that checks out ok, unplug the washer for a few minutes and restore power to reset the electronic controls. If the error persists after that most likely one or both of the boards have failed.

F6 E3 Error Code On Whirlpool Washer Wfw560chw

I have try unplug power and restart the unit still same error code. display LED panel is fine. would it be control board issue? do you have any suggestion, part number and part price. any thanks!

It could be a wiring issue between the boards but most likely it's the main control board that failed which is part number W11322879. You may find it on eBay or Amazon or you can just google that part number and you will find plenty of places to order it from online.

F6 E3

Model - WTW7300DW2 Hello, The Washing Machine is about 4 years and the error code I get is F6 E3 which from your forum appears to be the ACU or the UI. I'm trying to determine which board needs to be replaced since they are both a bit pricey. The voltage into the machine is good, but when I initially plug the machine into the outlet, there is a spark. This does NOT happen when I plug the dryer into the same outlet, but does happen when I plug the Washing Machine into a different outlet. This is leading me to believe that the issue is with the ACU (Main Control Board). The breaker was tripped when the issue 1st started, but has not tripped since my troubleshooting began. We can use the washing Machine by unplugging the machine and resetting it, We get 1 use and then the F6 E3 code re-appears. Just looking for your professional opinion before purchasing the ACU from your website

Since the UI is low voltage I doubt it's causing a spark at the power connection. I would assume it's the ACU but I would rather be certain than guessing. Below is a link to download the full service manual for the model you listed. Perform the troubleshooting tests #1 and #4 on pages 6-5 & 6-11. Those tests will determine which board is at fault. I assume you have a little knowledge of using a volt/ohm meter and working with live circuits. If not please find someone to help you that does. The link for the service manual is my personal google drive account so it's safe.

Parts Unavailable?

My washer (model number MVWB765FW3) is flashing the F6 E3 code. I was told by a local service guy that the part number for the control board has changed meaning a new part it will no longer communicate with the user interface in the machine. He said the control board is on back order and the user interface is no longer being made. Is this true? I can’t believe I would need to replace a two-year old washer!

Both boards are still readily available and are not on backorder at most online suppliers. Maybe his local supplier has them back-ordered but that is not the case for online suppliers. I would imagine he didn't want to get involved with this repair because the price of the boards are very high and without ordering both boards which would cost you close to what a new machine would cost it's basically a gamble as there is no way to determine which board is causing the error so replacing both is really the only option you have and it's not worth spending that much on a two-year-old machine.

F6e3 Error Code

So last night our washer started beeping. Found the f6e3 error code on it. Unplugged it, plugged it back in and it was fine for a little bit. Started beeping again, unplugged it for the night and now that it's plugged back in it won't do anything. Hit the power button and we get nothing....anyone have any idea why it won't do anything now....not even the error code is coming up now.

If there is no power at all and you were previously getting the F6E3 error you will need to replace the ACU (The main control board). If you need part information just post a new question providing your model number requestion part information for the ACU.

F6e3 Error

I tried the unplug situation and want to fix this myself - model #WFW5620HW2

There is no way to tell you which board is bad. In most cases, it's the ACU that causes that error. The part number for the ACU is W11322903.

F6 e3 code

I’ve tried re-setting unplugging over night

That is a tough error code to diagnose mainly because it could be either board at fault. There are some troubleshooting steps you can do if you have an ohmmeter and know how to use it. If that's the case contact me on the live repair chat on the site and I will be glad to give you the information you need.
