The Whirlpool Duet Washer F15 Error is a Motor Control Unit Error. If the central control unit (CCU) detects multiple failures or resets of the motor control unit (MCU) the control will shut down the cycle and report the F15 error. This error is almost always caused by a failed motor control unit.
Check the wiring between the central control unit and the motor control unit and motor for loose connections or damaged wires. Check the drive belt. My Whirlpool washing machine model WWDC 10714 S suddenly stopped working and F 15 error code appeared on the small screen. I unplugged and plugged it several times but the machine will not continue and the same error code appeared. What do I do?

For whirlpool washer Model WWDC 10714 S the F15 error is listed as a heater control fault which means the heating element on the washer is not working. You will need to check the heater for continuity with a meter if it is a closed circuit the heater is fine and the NTC/Thermistor is bad and of course if the element is open the heating element is bad.
