Troubleshooting and Repair - F02 Error Code - GHW9150PW0
The Whirlpool Duet Washer F02 Error is a long drain error. It means the drain time has exceeded eight minutes so the control shuts down the cycle and reports this error.
NOTE: After four minutes the “Sud”error will be displayed, then four minutes later the “F/02”error code will be displayed.
This error is normally caused by a clogged pump filter, clogged drain hose or a failed drain pump. The first thing you want to do is check the pump filter for blockage. The video below shows how to do this.

F02 Error Code
Asked By Kessie
I keep getting the error code F02. I checked the pump, drain hose and actual drain. They are all clear. I ran the machine empty with no soap, just borax and bleach in the tube. Washer ran and drained fine, no code. Put an actual load in with half the amount of soap I normally use and at the 29 minute mark it threw the code. Any idea on what could be causing this?

Replace the drain pump, it's probably that the motor on the pump is weak and is it's drawing too much current when there are suds in the water so the control shuts it down and report that error.

We keep getting a F02 code. We replaced the pump because the impellers were bad. The washer worked great for about 10-15 loads of laundry. The code is back now. I have checked the filter, cleared the drain hoses coming into the filter and from the filter to the wall drain. The basket does not spin, I am assuming that is why it is taking too long to drain. I have checed around the basket to make sure there is not an article of clothing wedged somewhere. Also I have moved the clothes around to make sure there wasn’t a balance issue. Could it be a sensor or is there something I am missing?
Thanks

I just cleaned out the filter (found a bunch of coins).
Tried to start a load and got F21 error again.
Any tips?

The coins you found in the filter damaged the impeller on the pump which is why you are still getting the error. It can't drain fast enough with the damaged impeller to satisfy the control. You will need to replace the drain pump. The drain pump for that model is listed below:
