Whirlpool Washer F7E8 Error

Troubleshooting and Repair - F7E8 Error Code - WFW75HEFW

The Whirlpool washer F7E8 error code means the drive motor has overheated. The ACU ( main control board) will not allow the washer to operate again until the motor has cooled off.

• Make sure the washer is not installed near a heat source and that room has proper ventilation.

• Check the load in the tub and make sure you have not overloaded the washer and the door is closed properly and that the load is not putting pressure on the door.

• Check the drum and rotate it by hand, make sure it turns freely. If not there is friction on the drive system which can be caused by articles of clothing stuck between the washer tub and washer drum. Drive system friction can also be caused by a worn out rear spin bearing causing drag.

Cant Seem To Find The Problem

Hello ! I've been trying to fix this machine for a while now. I've just replaced the gearcase assembly and I cant get rid of the f7 e8 code. The drum spins freely and the motor is not overheated. Could it be a motherboard or sensor problem? Thanks so much in advance

It sounds to me like the motor is bad. It's overheating and throwing the internal overload on the motor causing the F7E8 error which means the motor is overheating.
