Whirlpool Washer F5E1 Error
The Whirlpool washer F5E1 error code is a door switch error. When the door switch is open while the door is locked for longer than 5 seconds the main control will shut the machine off and report this error.
Things to check:
• Check for loose connections on the wiring from the door lock switch assembly to the ACU ( main control board). Make sure all connectors are seated properly.
• Be sure you do not have the washer overloaded and that the load is inside the washer drum and is not blocking or putting pressure on the washer door.
• If all the above looks good unplug the washer for a few minutes and restore power, if after restoring power the F5E1 error persists replace the door lock assembly.
