F70 Error

Whirlpool Duet Washer F70 Error

Troubleshooting and Repair - F70 Error Code - WFW9200SQ00

The F70 error on this model washer is a central control unit (CCU) heartbeat failure. This means there is communication loss from the central control unit and the user interface. The troubleshooting procedure for this error is to first check the wiring and connections between the main control and user interface. Look for broken, loose or corroded wires. If all the wiring and connections look good and the drum on the washer rotates replace the user interface. If the drum is not rotation or moving at all replace the central control unit.

The parts you may need to repair this error are linked below, be sure to verify they fit your model before ordering. If you have any questions about what part number you need ask the parts company in chat.

Questions For Error Code F70

Code F70-71

I have model number WFW9400SW03 I get error code F 71 then at times it switches to F70

Both of those error codes have to do with bad communication between the interface and main control boards. You need to replace the boards. The boards you need to replace are linked below.

User interface boards : https://prismparts.com/products/washer-interface-control-boards-part-number-rp0518354paz85

Main control board: https://prismparts.com/products/washer-electronic-control-board-part-number-rp5328106paz54

Once those are replaced the washer will be fine. They are both located in the top of the washer. The video linked below will give you some idea of how to access and replace the user interface boards.

F70 Error

Wfw9640xw00 Whirlpool washer duet Hi my name is Ben. The drum rotate freely, the board lights up when I hit the power button but when I hit the start button it dings three times and does not start the cycle. Is this the user interface board or something else. A video of how to replace whatever needs replaced would be helpful thanks. Also our connections look good

Hell Ben,

Yes from what you describe that would be the user interface boards that need replaced. The boards come together in a kit. The boards you need for that model are linked below.

https://prismparts.com/products/washer-user-interface-control-display-boards-part-number-rp0368106paz32?_pos=1&_sid=4d9f8f72f&_ss=r

There is no actual video showing how to replace the user interface boards. However the video linked below does show how to access and remove the console control which is where the boards are mounted. So once you have the console out it's just a matter of removing the boards from the console which you can figure out once you see it.

Whirlpool Duet Ccu Replacement

Hi! I replaced the CCU on my washer and began working fine. About 20 minutes into the cycle, soon after it drained, it shut down and gave the F70 code again. Any advise?

F70 is a communication error between the boards, either board can cause this error so replace the interface boards this time. They are linked below.

I'm getting error code F70. I unplugged the washer and then plugged it back in after waiting several hours. The machine still will not start. Is this fixable? Approximately how much will it cost to repair?

It is repairable. If the drum on the washer rotates when in a cycle replace the user interface. If the drum is not rotating or moving at all in a cycle replace the central control unit. Both parts are listed below:

Click here for the user interface

Click here for the Central Control Unit

If you need directions to change the part let me know which one you ordered and I will give you step by step instructions probably in video format.

Power Up

I was getting a F70 error. So I pressed the cancel button and started my cycle again only to get the same error code. So I then unplugged the unit waited about 30 seconds and plugged it back in. Now the unit will not power up. It just beeps upon pressing the power button. Any suggestions?

That means you either have a bad user interface or a bad central control unit. When you try and start a cycle and the drum on the washer rotates replace the user interface. If the drum is not rotating or moving at all replace the central control unit. If you need part numbers I would need the model of your washer. You can post a new question requesting the part information just include your model number this time. Thanks.

code f 70

WFW9550WW10 well I change the water outlet thing and now as it does when you hit the button is buzz but it said F70 before it before all this to happen to them when I changed to R Dowd let water outlet now it just as the buzz what is going on

The F70 code means:

If a Central Control Unit Heartbeat Failure is displayed, no communication is detected from the Central Control Unit (CCU) to the User Interface. Possible Causes/Procedure 1. Check for continuity of the User Interface harness. 2. Check wire harness connections to the User Interface and Central Control Unit. 3. If the drum is not rotating, unplug the MCU from the CCU (the MI3 or M13 connector). If the code goes away, then replace the MCU. If the code does not go away, replace the CCU. 4. Replace User Interface if drum is rotating.

The part number for the interface is WPW10428011.

The part number for the central control unit is WPW10424936.
