The error F27 and/or F21 only appear to happen when washing on warm or hot, it does not occur on cold. Assumed it is the water inlet valve, ran the diagnostic and cold cycle water stopped running after warm cycle water never stopped running through C:08 finally cancelled cycle. I am assuming the hot in the water inlet valve is bad, any other options before I spend the money ordering the part?

The F27 error is displayed when there is too much water and/or suds in the washer tub. It's called an overflow condition which means the water pressure switch has too much pressure on it causing the overflow contacts to close and the failure is logged in the control. The cause of the error can be quite a few problems which are listed below.
- Bad water level pressure switch
- Bad drain pump
- Stopped up drain hose
- Stopped up pressure switch hose
- Bad water inlet valve
- Bad wiring harness
Those are the items that will need to be checked to find the fault.

The only other possbility would be an issue with the hot water circuit on the main board but that's unlikely so it's safe to assume it is the valve. The valve for your model is linked below.

WFW9200SQ00 Is my model. My washer has water constantly being pumped into the washer, like it would if I were to run it. But it’s off and hasn’t been used in almost 7 days.

Had been getting F21 error messages, had drain pump replaced; now getting F27 message. Washer 10y old. No problems until this. Was told washer could last another 5+yrs, don’t want to spend more to fix if better to replace.
