Model WED 8300SW0 whirlpool dryer. Heat went on when I turned it on but drum does not spin. No noise when it is manually spun.. When I try to turn it on, the door switch seems to cause a click when it is opened. Belt, all wheels and pulley all work and can easily turn the drum with the belt from the back (which I opened to view the internal parts). No noise when I spin the motor. internet says it may be several things. How do I rule out those which it is probably not given the above

F-26 Error Code. Drum Will Not Spin When Turned On.

Ok so you can rule out the thermal fuse because the heating circuit has voltage. You can rule out a bad high limit fuse or thermostat because the heating circuit has voltage. If the heating circuit is on and the motor is not running then the motor has failed. The centrifugal switch in the motor is bad which means the entire motor has to be replaced unfortunatley. The motor you need for the model you listed is linked below. You can get a new one or a preowned certified used one.
