To Access And Replace Electronic Oven Control EOC Part Number 316560143 On A Frigidaire Gallery Slide In Range the first thing you need to do is kill power the range by either unplugging it or turning off the breaker that supplies voltage to it. Then remove the oven door, this will prevent damaging the oven door assembly during the repair. Follow the steps provided below to remove the oven door.
How To Remove Oven Door
Open the oven door all the way and on each side of the door at the bottom you will see the hinge lock levers. Use a flat blade screwdriver or similar to pull them to the lock position.
Once you have them in the locked position raise the door up but do not close it all the way and pull up and the door will slide off the hinges removing it from the range. The next step is removing the control panel.
Removing The Control Panel
Remove the two screws (one on the right and left side) on the bottom outside of the control housing.
Remove the two screws under the bottom of the control console.
Once those are removed pull down on the bottom console cover and remove it. Remove the control knobs from the top of the console then remove the two screws from the mounting bracket under the top of the control housing there is one on each side.
Remove the two screws on the bracket that mount the control panel to the burner box. There is a set (bracket on each side).
Once the screws are out as shown in all the steps above, facing the stove lift the control panel from the backside flipping it toward you and the panel will flip over and lay flat at which point you can access the electronic oven control (EOC), the user interface board (UIB) and the electronic surface element control (ESEC).
