Whirlpool Washer F5E3 Error

I was getting washer door not closed error so I replaced the lock assembly and now washer will start and says sensing but does not lock the lid and does not do anything. After a while I get the code F5E3. My model number is WTW5105WH0. The warranty had just expired and not happy at all.

Hello sorry to hear you are having so much trouble it's frustrating I know. So for the bad news now, if you replaced the door lock and are still get F5E3 error which is a door unlock error then the lock circuit on the main control board is bad. The part number for the control board you would need for that model is W11543997.

My machine is giving an F5 and E3 error code. The machine started to fill with water but the the codes started to flash. The top never locks. I was wondering if this is an easy fix. Thanks in advance for you help. Rhonda Waite

That error is a lid lock error. The only thing you can do is try and reset the electronics by killing power to it at the breaker/fuse panel on your home for one full minute then restore power. If after that the problem persists the lid lock assembly will need to be replaced. Washer flashes code F5E3 but door won’t unlock. I have tried to turn the machine off and start over, reset the machine, unplug it and i flipped the breaker the door still will not unlock.
