Troubleshooting and Repair - F10 Error Code - GHW9150PW0

The Whirlpool Duet Washer F10 Error means the heat sinks on the motor control unit (MCU) are getting too hot. The error is classified as Motor Control Unit Heat Sink Thermal Trip. The central control unit (CCU) will stop all motor functions when this error occurs.

This error can be caused by drag on the drive system. Check the drive system for worn or failed components. If the washer is making a loud roaring noise during spin then the rear tub bearing on the washer is worn out and causing drag on the drive system which is causing this error. The bearing will need to be replaced to fix it. If the bearing is ok check for articles of clothing trapped between the wash basket and inner tub.
