How To Fix Whirlpool Duet Washer F11 Error Code

To Fix Whirlpool Duet Washer F11 Error Code the first thing you need to do is check the wiring and connection between the central control unit and the motor control unit. Disconnect the wire at the central control unit from the motor control. The plug location for the MCU on the CCU is the very back plug on the left side. The image below shows the connector location.

Once you have it disconnected adjust the pins on the connector using a small flat head screwdriver so that it will make a tighter connection at the pins on the board. Use a small piece of emory board and lightly clean the contacts on the board where the connector connects to the CCU. If you know how to solder you can put a thin bead of solder on each contact on the board to make it a even tighter connection as shown in the image below.

Doing these few things will rememdy any intermittent F11 error. However if this repair does not work and your Whilpool Duet Washer still shows the F11 Code you will need to replace the motor control board  first. If that does not fix the problem then the CCU will need to be replaced as well. The replacement boards are listed below.

Questions Concerning This Repair

F11 Code

We have a Whirlpool Duet Washer with an F11 Error Code. I bought both the Motor Control Unit and the Central Control units from Prism Parts and it's still not working and displaying the F11 Error Code What's next?

If you replace both and still get that error you have an issue in the wiring harness somewhere. Each wire between the boards will need to be ohm'd with a meter to find the one that is bad, each connector will need to be check for damage. I some cases the only solution is to just replace the entire wiring harness on the machine.
