Bosch washer ER08 error is a failure in the heating circuit in which the heating element is staying on all the time. This is caused by either a stuck heater relay on the main control board or the heater is grounded. Check the heater for short circuit to ground, if it's grounded replace the heater if it's not grounded replace the main control board. If it's the heating element that is bad that is bad news because that element is no longer being manufactured and there are not any substitutions being made either.
